motorcycle fun!

So there was this one, gorgeous, warm day… a couple weeks ago.  Nick wanted to get his bike out for the first ride of the season.  We layered on tons of clothes and took off!  We were actually pretty warm while we were riding.  My butt got a little numb after awhile, but it was good.

His dad snapped this picture as we were leaving!  I played with it in photoshop for a little bit!

Bentley: 9 months old

Guess what! Bentley is 9 months old.  I can’t believe it has been 3 months since I last posted…. eekkk…  I knew it had been awhile, but I couldn’t remember how long.

The Christmas trees are now down – although there is still Christmas decorations in the kitchen.  I am still working on getting those down :)

I have been making major changes in the house! That is exciting news right? I have officially decided that I am turning the TV room into the office/client meeting room.  I am very excited about this! I have already picked out all the furniture for the room and checking it out tomorrow.  I plan on actually buying the furniture next month or whenever the room gets finished.  There was a slight water leak in the ceiling from the P trap upstairs.  The bath was having some major leaking issues.  It’s amazing that my ceiling didn’t just fall apart there was so much water up there.  There was another leak as well in the wall in the downstairs bathroom – that was just a solder joint gone bad.  Luckily, my boyfriend is amazing at fixing things and he easily fixed both! Yeahs!

hmm… that was lighting… its so strange to see lighting! It has been so many months

continuing on..

So, since the TV room is now being taken over by the office – where to put the TV? Well – there is a little nook area on the other side of my fireplace that was just kind of dead space.  It is now occupied by a gorgeous section and ottoman that I am in love with.  The section is a normal couch with a chaise that jets out to the left – the section makes an L shape and its all said and done.  The ottoman was such a great purchase and I am very happy that I added it to the mix.  I have a cream 7x9ft rug underneath it all since my floors are hardwood.  I just think a couch should have carpet under it so that your feet don’t get cold! I am getting a new TV as well – I have an old TV in a giant, heavy box… it is one of those from the 1970′s… pretty amazing. So, I have a new LG flatscreen HDTV picked out and I am in love with it.  My boyfriend again ( did I mention he was amazing? ) ran cable up to the TV in the new room, plus he is running it upstairs so that we can put a TV in the bedroom.

I am trying to think if there are any other major changes… not really for the moment.  I will add pictures as the office and bathroom progress more.. at the moment not a lot is happening besides the gorgeous holes in the walls that are still open.  I think those are going to be covered up this week.

Here are some cute pictures of Bentley that I took the other day and sent to his breeder for an update:

Bentley: 1st trip to Old Man’s Cave

Last Friday Bentley and I took a much needed day off to enjoy the gorgeous weather ( yeah for sunny and 69 degrees!) and we went hiking down at Old Mans Cave in Hocking Hills. I have always wanted to hike between the caves – Cedar Falls to Old Mans cave so Bentley and I did the 6 mile hike. It wasn’t to bad at all, but by the end we were both a little tired. I think the last mile he was walking a lot slower and kept looking at me like ” are we done yet?”.  We had a picnic lunch as well and he was more then happy to just sit and lay down.  When I got into the car to get the picnic stuff out he jumped right into his seat and didn’t look to interested in getting out. I grabbed my old D40X to shoot some pictures since my little point and shoot isn’t working to well.  I think I might bring this camera with me more often since its super light compared to taking the 300 for personal stuff.

Here are some pictures from the day:

Bentley happy to start his hike!

Once we got to Cedar Falls.  There was actually water there and it was falling! Last time I was there about a month or so ago there was no water falling.

Happy at Cedar falls!

Halloween

Halloween fun -

This is what I looked like for Halloween this year – This was the first night of wearing the costume for Trick Or Treat at my place.  I then wore it to a party during the weekend and I will be wearing it tonight for Trick or Treat again. fun times!

I think that was Blackie who wanted in the picture

It was cold so I did wear my jeans and boots underneath everything so I wasn’t freezing my buns off.

Close up of my hair I was rocking…

I made Bentley go to work for me.  I needed a cute pet picture for a flyer for a local pet grooming store… He did pretty good at his job..

I don’t think he wanted to do anymore pictures…

Cats have finally earned their keep!

Bentley: The crazy dog

That pretty much sums him up.

Bentley got on his bed

Yep.. he decided to finally get off the kitchen floor and find his bed.

His fur looks a little crazy because he is starting to actually get longer fur on his back and chest.  It is starting to get some cute little curls on his back!

He needs a bath too

Halloween.. still getting closer..

Bentley is going to be one freakin’ cute pumpkin!

I always said I would never dress my dog up if I got a dog… only for Halloween!

He looks excited!
